 Jim Crouse has thirty plus years experience guiding on Tahoe area fly fishing waters . His knowledge of the area is unmatched. Jim insures that your licensed Tahoe fly fishing guide is knowledgeable and experienced in fly selection as well as the most effective presentations.

Jim takes personal pride in making sure that you have an all encompassing day at Pleasant Valley Preserve or any of the guided waters we serve.   Jim spins yarns of the 130 plus years of history in the Sierra Alps, while calmly instructing you on how to make the correct drift for large rainbows lurking under a cut bank.  He’ll take the time to teach you about the entomology of a trout stream and train you in matching the hatch to entice a take by leery trout. In all waters, proper Catch & Release technique is taught by all of the guides.

Bob is Alpine Fly Fishing's Casting Specialist.  He has the training and ability to analyze your cast in short order and give you the tools to become a better fly caster which will enhance your experience every time you're on the water.

As a professional Guide, Instructor and Photographer Bob has a keen eye for fish, a relaxed teaching style and a knack to point out the simple beauties surrounding your outing.  Bob has been fly fishing the Lake Tahoe / Eastern Sierra region for many years and his sense of humor and teaching ability means that your day on the water will be fun, entertaining and educational.
 

~Don Weirauch, Guide / Instructor~
Don has been fly fishing the Tahoe region for a decade and really enjoys getting away to the back country high mountain lakes and streams on his days off.  He is a licensed Guide in California and a licensed Master Guide in Nevada.

His easy going laid back style insures that your day on the water will be just what you want it to be.  Don takes pride in making sure that all clients, whether new to the sport or a seasoned angler, take away one new technique or tid-bit that will enhance their future fly-fishing experiences.

~Liz Weirauch, Guide / Instructor~
Liz has been fishing her entire life, warm water fisheries of Michigan, the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and with her husband on the Pacific Ocean for big game fish and surf fishing.  A decade plus of fly fishing in the Eastern Sierra, and teaching her love of the sport has given Liz a unique look at trout psychology and habits that will increase your knowledge and love of fly fishing.  Liz loves fishing and is more than willing to pass on her excitement and gratification of enticing a fish to take a fly.
